I’ve painted Glencoe so many times over the years that I know the shapes and contours of the hills instinctively. What I’ve become more interested in is conveying the sense of the place: the contrast of its dramatic landscape and weather vs the crackle of its energy and atmosphere.

I’ve used charcoal, a darker pallet colour and gold leaf to achieve this.

60x60cm canvas in a black/gold solid wood frame, multi media, signed.
