I’ve painted and sketched the landscape of Glencoe many times over the years and intentionally moved towards a more abstracted interpretation of this valley (Lairig Gartain) in order to convey its mystery, dramatic atmosphere and energy. I’ve used charcoal along with paint and gold foil to convey this.
