I used special gold gesso as an underpaint to begin this depiction of Bellhaven Beach, then added marks of indigo chalk and tailor’s chalk, as well as quick layers of acrylic paint to capture the fast changing weather and brisk wind of this beautiful and favourite beach on the East Coast of Scotland.
