As Right As Rain

“Right as Rain” is part of a series of paintings I made in Orkney (though with its abstracted qualities, it is influenced by other Scottish landscapes too). The patchwork of fields stitches itself up against the sky and the sea so seamlessly, that I knew I had to paint them. The yellow of the fields is from buttercups, the purple was from potato plants in flower.
