Golden Stillness

I’m always drawn to the confluence between sky, sea and distant islands. There’s something uniquely harmonious about the view, all three tied together and shaped by the weather, time and tide. This painting was inspired by a trip to Orkney, but is also influenced by visits to the Outer Hebrides and other Scottish islands.
