Towards Dusk

The beaches of East Lothian are among my favourite in Scotland, and this one - Belhaven - holds a special spot in my heart. It’s an enormous expanse of sand, often littered with what the ocean has left: urchins, lobster claws and driftwood. The weather here moves at an incredible speed, it’s possible to have all seasons in one morning, the still moment of calm before dusk was too irresistible not to paint.
